CLASS DESCRIPTION
Defying gravity is doomed to fail. We are its slaves. We can not fly. But by understanding our limits we will find freedom. To use ones weight in a movement instead of fighting it will give a sensation of weightlessness. I have in my movement research found a method I call "the horizontal fall". It's a controlled fall that, in difference to the vertical fall, never reaches the ground. Instead of falling to the floor we fall along the floor.
The horizontal fall rather focuses on the movement in space than the movement in the body. It's a research on the real physical rules that condition our movement. The class will fluctuate between set material and shorter clearly framed improvisations. Since it's a three hour class I also hope to fit some partnering work in, as I find it very fruitful for the understanding of ones own body.

Workshop lasts for 2 hours. / Price: 100 EUR
Dates: 26-30 July 2010 at 10:00 am
