CLASS DESCRIPTION
This workshop will be focused on technical awareness of the body as well as anatomical and individual acquaintance with certain movement forms. Concepts of body wholeness and fragmentation will be addressed upon with equal relevance. We will also try to approach concepts of impulse and intention, in a different way, through fast and energetic combinations. Since I consider technique necessary only as tool for a greater personal creative freedom, we will pay special attention to fear-free improvisation and development of the new, individual means of movement.

In practice we will start with feet warm-up and floor connection basics as well as body centre and periphery warm-up. Work will be carried out through shorter and longer phrases on floor and middle level, and we will wrap-up with jumps and final choreography. Part of workshop that will deal with improvisation will start from ‘letting go’ in creative sense, questioning the existence of good and bad in individual creation. At the end we will try to awake the group instant composition.

PETRA HRASCANEC HERCEG'S BIOGRAPHY
Petra started her dance education in Zadar and then she continued in a School for contemporary dance “Ana Maltić” in Zagreb. 2004 she enrolled “Salzburg experimental academy of dance“ in Salzburg. Except from her long years of woking in the Zadar Dance Company she would highlight the work as a dancer in Studio-contemporary dance company in Zagreb and artistic organization dance_lab collective where she is one of the co-founders. She participated in many performances in Croatia and abroad: “Nastup”, “UTF-8”,“Sale”, “Observing,observing and others more. Pedagogical work includes teaching professional classes in Studio-dance company, Zagreb dance company and company around MCUK in Zagreb, teaching on SEAD academy (do it-program), working in an elementary school for ballet and rithmics in Zagreb and regular workshops for Zadar dance company.
